The Sound of a Changed Life
What if everything we thought we knew about worship was missing the point? This message challenges us to rethink worship from the ground up. Rather than treating worship as a musical genre or a Sunday morning routine, we are invited to see it as a heart posture that shapes every moment of our lives. Drawing from Colossians 3, we discover that Paul does not begin with singing. He begins with identity. He begins with the reality that we have been raised with Christ, that our old selves are being put to death, and that our minds are being renewed. The singing comes last, and that order is everything. Genuine worship, we learn, is not the engine of transformation. It is the sound transformation makes. Like a scoreboard that reflects what happened on the field rather than creating it, our songs reflect what Jesus is already doing on the inside of us. This reframes the entire experience of corporate worship. When we open our mouths and declare that Jesus is worthy, we are not trying to earn a breakthrough or manipulate an outcome. We are giving voice to a life that is being changed. That is a vision of worship that goes far deeper than any song.
